The company is owned and run by Nancy Chancey, who is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker as well as a Naturopathic Physician, Phd, ND, with over 22 years of experience. While specializing in trauma recovery and abuse issues, she also works with a wide varity of mental health issues, as well as health, fitness, and spiritual issues. Natural Healing Concepts is a natural alternative to healthcare, focusing on desease prevention through education and natural healing practices. Nancy works with children and adults and has become a well known health practitioner in her community. Nancy's background as a counselor is varied, and includes working with children, adolesents and adults as well couples. She has worked in many different mental health settings before opening her practice in Blue Ridge. Her knowledge of trauma healing is vast and cutting edge. Her experience has given her a wide knowlege base to work with most mental health issues, including dissociative disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders, PTSD, anger management, substance abuse disorders, physical and sexual abuse issues, eating disorders, and much more.

My treatments are designed to help clienits find the root of thier issues and to help them to move through them more quickly than traditional talk therapy. I belive in empowerment, not dependency. I use a wholistic approach, addressing all aspects of the human experience, the mind, emotions, body and spirit. My counseling is 100% client centered, which means the client sets the pace as well as chooses the path. My mission is to get you to where you want to be as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Therapeutic Dogs
In addition to Nancy you will also see her therapeutic dogs as a part of your therapy. Here is Clover, eating her favorite socks. She is a favorite among clients, especially excited when children come to play with her. Children get a chance to train Clover and also learn the basics about respecting boundaries, play, commands, and of course jumping through hoola hoops and treats. She will greet you at the door with her wagging tail. She can hold her own though. She also keeps a look out for strangers, stray dogs and of course, fat
Here is Tippin. She is a true loving spirit. With hugs and kisses for everyone. She is tolerant of everyone and just a big big love. She loves to play, fetch, and is very sympathetic to everyone's emotions. She does not care who you are, what your background is, or how depressed or angry you are. She will always greet you with a wagging tail, eager eyes, and lots of hugs. Oh, treats are great, but she prefers fetching and lots of hugs and pets. She has been a wonderful addition to therapy.
